EU Member States are moving further away from original proposal on use of vehicles hired without drivers for carriage of goods by road

The Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU forwarded to the delegations of the Member States, on Wednesday 17 February, a first compromise text on the revision of the Directive on the use of vehicles hired without drivers for the carriage of goods by road (2006/1 – see EUROPE B12656A8).

The text, of which EUROPE has obtained a copy, will be examined on Wednesday 24 February, at a further informal meeting of the Council’s Working Party on Land Transport.
