EU denounces announcement of new settlements

12/01/2021 (Agence Europe) – The spokesman for the European External Action Service (EEAS), Peter Stano, denounced, on Tuesday 12 January, the Israeli authorities’ announcement of new settlements. The day before, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had announced the construction of 800 housing units in West Bank settlements. “The EU is fundamentally opposed to building and enlarging settlements”, the EEAS spokesman said.
