European Court of Human Rights agrees to consider Telegram’s petitions, which have been condemned by Russian authorities

16/11/2020 (Agence Europe)The European Court of Human Rights today announced that it has agreed to consider the petitions filed by the Telegram messaging service against Russia. After Telegram refused to provide the Russian Federation’s Federal Security Service (FSB) with the keys to read its users messages, the Federation’s “Roskomnadzor” communications regulator fined Telegram and blocked 19.4 million of its IP addresses.
