29/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – Following a meeting of the European Space Agency (ESA) Council on Wednesday 28 October and Thursday 29 October, the postponement of the inaugural launch of Ariane 6 to the second quarter of 2022 was announced by the Agency in a press release. This represents a delay of five years compared to the initial plans. The first flight of Vega-C is also postponed to June 2021. These postponements are directly related to the impact of the pandemic, ESA reports. (PH)
