Frontex signs contract with Airbus and Israel Aerospace Industries for maritime surveillance

21/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) has signed a contract with Airbus and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) to operate a long-term maritime air surveillance system for the Mediterranean Sea, Airbus announced on Tuesday 20 October. This is the RPAS surveillance system for unmanned aircraft. The service will be provided in Greece and eventually in Italy and Malta, Airbus said.
