About 50 different organisations call on EU to adopt ambitious climate target for 2030

As the 27 Heads of State or Government of the European Union discuss climate change next week (see EUROPE B12575A20), a coalition of 47 organisations including NGOs, businesses, local and regional authorities and investor groups sent a joint letter to the EU institutions and Member States on Thursday 8 October, asking them to adopt a more ambitious climate target for 2030. 

They therefore call on the European co-legislators to “agree on” a target of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG)...
