European Commission releases additional funds for management of Greek and Bulgarian external borders

18/09/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has approved the release of €23.8 million and €12.8 million respectively for Greece and Bulgaria to manage the external borders, the institution announced in a press release. These envelopes from the Internal Security Fund will support the deployment of border guards and assistance in the Aegean islands. For Bulgaria, this funding will support the operations of the border guards on its southern borders. (SP)
