Commission and Germany promise to do everything in their power to enable separated couples to be reunited

05/08/2020 (Agence Europe) – The German Presidency of the Council of the EU and the European Commission are set to work on an EU approach to addressing the problems of couples separated by Covid-19 and travel restrictions. The Commission and a spokesperson for the German Interior Ministry said on Twitter that they were working to resolve the issue and “clarify the EU’s approach” to enable people in this situation to travel again so they can be reunited.
