The European Investment Bank (EIB) announced on Thursday 30 July that it would provide 35 million euros to the Spanish company Endesa to support the installation of 8,500 recharging points for hybrid or electric vehicles throughout Spain.
The first 2,000 kiosks should be installed this year on the main motorway network - i.e. over 15,000 km - as well as in cities with more than 35,000 inhabitants. The rest of the stations will be phased in by 2023, details the EIB.
