30/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – on Thursday 30 July, the Council of the EU appointed Tomáš Szunyog as European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for Kosovo from 1 September 2020 to 31 August 2021. The 54-year-old Czech will replace Bulgarian Nataliya Apostolova, who has been at the post since 20 July 2016 (see EUROPE B11606A3). Until now, Mr Szunyog has been the Permanent Representative for the Czech Republic on the Political and Security Committee.(CG)
