EASA proposes a series of airworthiness standards to ensure operation of unmanned light aircraft

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) published on Monday 20 July a proposal for airworthiness standards for the certification of unmanned light aircraft. These standards should ensure the safe operation of UAVs used for services such as parcel delivery in urban areas, inspection of railways and power lines, and delivery of essential supplies in crisis areas.
