Dalai Lama welcomes budgetary agreement reached at European Council

Brussels, 23/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 22 July, the Dalai Lama welcomed the agreement reached on Tuesday over the budgetary framework and the Recovery Plan between EU Member States (see EUROPE B12532A2). “It is heartening to know that European Union leaders have succeeded in meeting one of the toughest challenges in the organisation’s history by agreeing a package of measures to rescue their economies from the disruption caused by the pandemic”, he said on his Twitter...
