European Parliament backs nomination of Helga Berger as Austrian member of Court of Auditors

09/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 8 July MEPs voted by secret ballot to endorse Austria’s Helga Berger as the newest member of the European Court of Auditors. The nominee was backed by 360 votes in favour, 221 against and 114 abstentions. Ms Berger is currently Director General of Budget and Public Finance in the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance.
