The S&D group in the European Parliament launched a campaign for tax justice on Wednesday 8 July, within days of the European Commission’s presentation of its ‘anti-tax fraud’ package (see EUROPE B12518A20).
In a roadmap published on the same day, the group also reiterates its call for a minimum effective corporate taxation rate of 18% and for fairer taxation of digital companies.
