Tehran’s turn to trigger dispute settlement mechanism in nuclear agreement

On Friday 3 July, Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, announced that, earlier the same day, he had received a letter from Iran triggering the dispute settlement mechanism under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on the nuclear agreement.

Germany, France and the United Kingdom triggered the same mechanism in January (see EUROPE B12403A19).
