EIB and CureVac conclude €75 million loan agreement

On Monday 6 July, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the German biopharmaceutical company CureVac (see EUROPE B12507A28) signed a €75 million loan agreement to support the development and large-scale production of vaccines, particularly vaccines to combat Covid-19.

The money - which is slightly less than the €80 million initially announced by the European Commission (see EUROPE B12447A1) - will be granted in three tranches of €25 million.
