Future German EU Council Presidency poses a risk to EU climate action, CEO worries

As Germany prepares to take over the rotating EU Council Presidency, the influence of some powerful German industries on the country's government threatens to undermine the European Union's ability to act in the public interest, particularly on climate change, according to a report by the NGO Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO) published on Tuesday 23 June.
