The European Commission updated the EU aviation safety list on Tuesday 2 June. 96 airlines that do not meet international safety standards are now subject to an operating ban or restrictions in the European Union.
Six of these companies have registered “serious safety deficiencies”, the Commission says. These are Avior Airlines (Venezuela), Blue Wing Airlines (Suriname), Iran Aseman Airlines (Iran), Iraqi Airways (Iraq), Med-View Airlines (Nigeria) and Air Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe).
