Green light for €9 million Italian State Aid to shift freight transport from road to rail in Genoa

15/05/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission approved, on Friday 15 May, under State Aid rules, Italian aid worth €9 million to promote the shift of freight transport from road to rail in the port area of the city of Genoa. Road and rail infrastructure to and from the port was severely impacted by the collapse of the Morandi Bridge in August 2018.
