CAN Europe calls on EU to align an ambitious long-term climate strategy with a robust 2021-2027 budget

Pending the EU’s revised draft budget plan 2021-2027, which is crucial for tackling the climate and economic crisis, the NGO CAN Europe (Climate Action Network) stresses the importance of aligning the long-term climate strategies of the EU and its Member States with the financial stimulus measures.

On 13 May, the NGO published its recommendations to broaden the draft strategy for climate neutrality by 2050, notified by the EU to the UN (see EUROPE B12440A2).
