The European Medicines Agency (EMA) announced on Monday 6 April that a new mechanism has been put in place to speed up the detection of shortages of medicines. This mechanism, known as i-SPOC, provides for the designation by pharmaceutical companies of a point of contact to facilitate interactions with the EMA.
