UN Secretary-General calls on states to act against domestic violence, exacerbated by lockdown measures

06/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 6 April, UN Secretary-General António Guterres called on governments to take action to prevent domestic violence, which has increased due to lockdown measures against the Covid-19 pandemic (see EUROPE B12457A17). “We know that lockdown and quarantine can trap women with abusive partners. ...
