24/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – The ‘Ecofin’ Council and the European Commission agreed on Monday 23 March to adopt “a flexible and pragmatic approach” to the implementation of the next steps of the ‘European Semester’ budgetary process for 2020, due to the “high degree of uncertainty” surrounding the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the European economy and the “rapid evolution of the fiscal measures” taken to address it.
