CO2 from aviation, Commission welcomes ICAO decision on CORSIA eligible emission units

With some delay - due to the coronavirus pandemic - the Commission welcomed, on Wednesday 18 March, the decision of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which approved, on Saturday 14 March, the emission units eligible for the CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) compensation system by limiting the number of poor quality credits (see EUROPE B12447A17).
