European Parliament sets out its expectations regarding gender equality and pay transparency

31/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 30 January, the European Parliament adopted a topical resolution calling for binding measures applicable to both the public and private sectors to combat the pay gap. The resolution was adopted by 493 votes in favour, 82 against and 79 abstentions. According to the European Commission’s 2020 work schedule, the Commission must present a European strategy on gender equality in the first quarter of 2020 and complement this strategy with binding...
