Annual inflation up to 1.4% in January in euro area

31/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – Euro-area annual inflation is expected to be 1.4% in January 2020, down from 1.3% in December, according to a flash estimate issued by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Friday 31 January. For those countries for which data were available, the rate was highest in Lithuania (2.8%) and Luxembourg (2.7%) and lowest in Cyprus (0.6%) and Portugal (0.8%).
