The Court of Justice of the European Union has no jurisdiction to rule on a border dispute between Slovenia and Croatia, according to a ruling delivered on Friday 31 January (Case C-457/18).
The Court points out that these two Member States are obliged under the Treaty to strive sincerely towards a definitive legal solution to this dispute in accordance with international law (see EUROPE B12388A23).
