The Court of Justice of the European Union declared on Friday 31 January that it took note of the interruption of the term of office of its British judges on the same day at midnight.
The number of judges – set at one per Member State for the Court of Justice and two per Member State for the General Court – is reduced “with immediate effect upon the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the EU”, the institution said in a statement.
