A single database for all geographical indications

Created by the European Commission, the 'eAmbrosia' online database now centralises all terms protected by geographical indications (PDO, PGI) and by the label of traditional specialities guaranteed (TSG), the European Commission announced on Friday 10 January.

The products concerned - food, wine and spirits - were previously collected in three different databases: e-Spirit-Drinks, DOOR and e-Bacchus. The centralisation of data in a single access point will simplify searches as well as...
