European doctors are hardening tone on electronic cigarettes

17/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Standing Committee of European Medical Doctors (CPME) has hardened its 2010 position on novel tobacco and nicotine products. In a press release issued on Tuesday 17 December, the Federation of National Medical Associations said that these products – which are also to be the subject of a European Commission report in 2021, in accordance with Directive 2014/40/EU on tobacco products (see EUROPE B10987A16) – are hazardous to health.
