Commission is considering making promotional campaigns more flexible as a result of US sanctions
Brussels, 20/11/2019 (Agence Europe)

The European Commission is currently studying changes in the way it manages ongoing agricultural promotion campaigns, in order to allow more flexibility for operators affected by US sanctions.

The Commission is therefore expected to propose amendments to secondary legislation to allow operators to be reactive and refocus, if necessary, on alternative markets by reprogramming actions already approved for the US market, in particular regarding wines, which are subject to the new US tariff.
