EU invests €6 million in clinical trials on vaccine to defeat virus in the DRC

31/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – The EU is contributing €6 million to clinical trials on an Ebola vaccine in the DRC, the European Commission announced on Thursday 31 October. This contribution is funded by the Horizon 2020 research programme. The aim is to try to contain the epidemic which is continuing to develop in the east of the country, with a risk of contagion to neighbouring countries.
