Average glass collection for recycling rate in EU has reached a record high of 76%

The average collection of glass packaging for recycling rate in the EU Twenty-Eight reached 76% in 2017 - a record - according to the latest industry data published by the European Container Glass Federation (FEVE) on 29 October.

 The champions are Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Slovenia and Switzerland, with rates exceeding 90%, followed by Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, whose rates are well above 80%. On the other hand, much remains to be done to improve...
