14/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – The leader of the Italian far-right Lega party, Matteo Salvini, assured on Monday 14 October that his party is no longer trying to get Italy out of the euro area. “I say this once and for all and then I hope that no one inside or outside my party will raise the issue again. The Lega is not thinking of taking Italy out of the euro area or the European Union”, he said, according to the Italian press. He added, “The euro is irreversible”. (MB)
