No stabilised text in view on financial transaction tax

20/09/2019 (Agence Europe) – As expected, the Friday 20 September discussions on Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) in the EU Council Working Party on Tax did not achieve any significant breakthroughs (see EUROPE B12330A20). According to a European source, the meeting was very short and the ten Member States involved in enhanced cooperation to set up an FTT simply presented the progress on their work (see EUROPE B12275A2).
