Negotiations between the European Parliament and the EU Council on the selection of the Head of the European Public Prosecutor's Office are now drawing to a close. On Thursday 19 September, following a new vote, the Member States' ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) supported the Romanian candidate backed by the European Parliament, Laura Codruţa Kövesi.
