16/09/2019 (Agence Europe) – Social Democrat Irene Tinagli was officially elected – by acclamation – chairwoman of the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs on Monday 16 September (see EUROPE B12326A30). Thanking the MEPs, she said she looked forward to facing the next “interesting challenges” facing the parliamentary committee in the interest of the European Union.
