Court to rule on liability of online merchants who use social networking tools

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) is set to rule on Monday 29 July on the obligations imposed on companies using social network plug-ins, such as Facebook's "like" button. If the judges follow the Advocate General's opinion, these companies could be subject to stricter control.
