Canadians and Europeans agreed on a joint solution for an "Interim Appeal Arbitration Arrangement" at the World Trade Organization (WTO) on Thursday 25 July.
One week after the EU-Canada Summit, on 17 and 18 July (see EUROPE B12297A5 B12299A17), European and Canadian leaders agreed on the format of an interim solution, in the event that, by 10 December 2019, their efforts to resolve the WTO Appellate Body (AB) blockade would remain unsuccessful (see EUROPE B12264A16, B12262A12).
