Annual inflation reached 1.3% and 1.6% respectively in the euro area and the European Union in June, according to figures published by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Wednesday 17 July.
This rate thus increased by 0.1 percentage point in the euro area compared to May, while it remained stable in the European Union (see EUROPE B12277A22).
