Holding hearings in European Parliament for Romanian and Estonian candidates for vacant posts in European Commission is increasingly compromised

The hearings by the Conference of Committee Chairs (CPC) of the European Parliament for the candidates nominated by Romania and Estonia, Mircea Pașcu and Kadri Simson respectively, to replace Commissioners Corina Crețu and Andrus Ansip, scheduled for Wednesday morning, 17 July, seemed increasingly compromised, as of Tuesday 16 July in the early evening.
