Over a dozen EU agriculture ministers criticised the content of the draft trade agreement between the EU and the Mercosur countries on Monday 15 July in Brussels, saying it could have a negative impact on certain sectors and on EU environmental and health standards (see EUROPE B12296A8).
After the Commission presented the outcome of the negotiations on the EU-Mercosur Free Trade Agreement, only the Spanish, German, Swedish and Danish ministers welcomed the terms of the agreement.
