New heavy goods vehicles in EU must now be equipped with a first generation smart tachograph

14/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – From Saturday 15 June, newly registered lorries and buses in the European Union must be equipped with a first generation smart tachograph. This device must be able to record the activity of lorry drivers. The issue of the smart tachograph is a major point in the discussions on the social and market aspects of the first mobility package (see EUROPE B12152A10, B12229A1).
