Uncertainties in Council of the EU on cross-border hire of vehicles without drivers for carriage of goods

The Member States' Permanent Representatives to the European Union (Committee of the Permanent Representatives - Coreper) meeting on Wednesday 15 May, were unable to draw any conclusions as to whether or not it would be possible to reach a political agreement ('general approach') on the revision of Directive 2006/1/EC on the use of vehicles hired without drivers for the carriage of goods by road for the EU Transport Ministers' meeting on 6 June.
