European Parliament endorses compromise text on swordfish recovery plan

04/04/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 4 April, the European Parliament approved the compromise text between EU institutions on the multiannual recovery programme for Mediterranean swordfish stock (see EUROPE B12197A35). This plan was adopted in 2016 by the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT). It now needs to be incorporated into EU law.
