Commission intends to address need for safe and secure truck parking areas in EU

On Monday 11 March, the European Commission published a study estimating that the European Union today is lacking 400,000 safe and secure parking areas. 

This report is published on a specific date, while the issue of safe and secure parking areas is at the heart of discussions on the social and market aspects of the first mobility package, for which negotiations in the European Parliament are very problematic (see EUROPE B12209A10).
