Future EU rules on persistent organic pollutants will not protect children's health, according to HEAL

On Thursday 21 February, a group of NGOs denounced the agreement reached two days earlier between the European Parliament and the EU Council on updating the European Regulation on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP), which is supposed to be in line with the Stockholm Convention, but which, in their view, is inadequate to protect children's health (see EUROPE 12198)
