The European Commission was duly informed on Thursday 21 February of the Czech authorities' discovery of salmonella in a consignment of 700 kg of Polish beef, the institution said on Friday, calling on all Member States to make good use of the EU Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).
