The European Commission's report on Investor citizenship and residence schemes, often referred to as golden visas (see EUROPE 12178), received a mixed reception on Monday 4 February from the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties.
The first exchange of views on this subject last week with the European Commissioner for Justice, Věra Jourová, had already set the tone and revealed the constant and even growing concerns of MEPs (see EUROPE 12182).
