MEPs broadly supported, by 589 votes in favour, 73 against and 21 abstentions, the report by Iuliu Winkler (EPP, Romania), recommending that the European Parliament give its consent to the agreement negotiated with China on tariff concessions on certain poultry meat products.
Winkler called on MEPs to give their consent to the agreement as soon as possible, so that the EU can comply with the WTO ruling in a timely manner.
